Navigating the classroom in the tumultuous times that we face in America, can be a terrifying place for educators, students, and administrators alike. As the world changes, we as educators and administrators need to be prepared to change along with it. This workshop will provide all participants with the tools and ability to teach using many of KSDE’s Foundational Structures.

Attendees will participate in several lessons including a Teaching Tolerance lesson called: "Speak up at School." This addresses how to respond when you hear students or fellow educators speak with inappropriate bias of any kind.

Lara and Dasan will demonstrate how to create a school culture of Kindness and motivate students to be civically engaged.

Participants will leave with lessons and materials for their classroom.
