Social emotional learning and civic engagement are paramount in classrooms today. In this session we will explore what you already do and connect this to ideas to strengthen these skills for your students. Come explore the books on Epic! and learn how to pair these with current fiction and chapter books you are using in your classroom to support social emotional learning and civic engagement. We will explore pairing nonfiction selections with what you are already doing to engage readers, enhance prior knowledge, and allow students to connect globally for civic engagement. Bring a device to explore online!
