This workshop is designed to help educators increase the rigor and relevance of their classroom instruction. Participants will learn about how rigor and relevance are defined and examine how they can be applied to the four concern areas. English, mathematics, science and social studies. Exemplary lessons and assignments for each of the four content areas will be studied and evaluated. Participants will leave with a valuable collection of research-based instructional strategies that can be used in every classroom.
