This session will familiarize participants with the Kansas Family Engagement and Partnership Standards for Early Childhood. Participants will obtain knowledge about the purpose of the standards and how they relate to other state standards such as the Kansas Early Learning Standards and the PTA National Standards for Family-School Partnerships. Participants will learn best practices to build family engagement capacity in local communities using the Standards as a framework. Resources will be provided and examples of family engagement practices in Kansas will be featured.
